Passing Your Credential “Keys” To Your Agency

As a business owner, it can be nerve-wracking to hand over your passwords and usernames to someone you just started a partnership with. We understand. However, without that information, there’s only so much that can be accomplished without you physically sitting in the office with us and logging us into the necessary sites. Without your credentials, your site will suffer from sporadic timing and an increased response time during emergencies.

Timing

Projects in an agency tend to have a “stop and go” momentum. As people and resources are made available, your project’s tasks move forward. Without your credentials, we may have to stop working on your project until we can reach you. This can take hours, or maybe even days – significantly impacting the project’s completion date.

Emergencies

If there is a problem with your site, and we don’t have your credentials, there is no way for us to fix the problem in a timely manner. In addition to the time it takes for our account managers, designers, and developers to fix the problem, we also have to add on the amount of time it takes to reach you.

Hosting

FTP

  • Username

  • Link

The Cpanel

  • Username
  • Password
  • Link

WordPress

  • Username
  • Password
  • Link

From Adwords and Analytics

Gmail

  • Username
  • Password
    (We use this information to make you an admin for Google tools such as Webmaster tools and analytics. After this stage, you can change your password.)

The Logo and Images

  • The Logo files (Encapsulated PostScript)
  • The Brand Manual
  • Any stock images your company has purchased for the website or social media efforts

Any Texts

  • Any content you would like on the site (if copywriting is not included in your contract)
  • The text structure (what content you would like on each page)
